Helios Financial Services Fund is an open-ended Equity scheme investing in Sectoral - Financial Services.

Investment Objective

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a portfolio that is invested predominantly in equity and equity related securities of companies engaged in financial services.
However, there can be no assurance that the investment objective of the Scheme will be realized.

Benchmark: NIFTY Financial Services Total Return Index (TRI)

Scheme Overview

Alok Bahl

Alok Bahl is the Chief Investment Officer at Helios Capital Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd. He holds an undergraduate degree in Commerce from Punjab University, Chandigarh, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from K.C. College of Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
He has over 32 years of work experience in the areas of investment. He has been a part of Helios Group since its inception in 2005 and was one of the first employees in Helios’ Singapore office. For the 18 years that Alok has been with Helios, he has been the second senior most resource in the investment team at Helios Singapore, where he had an important role in assisting the portfolio manager. Prior to joining Helios, Alok worked in India with various broking firms in sales roles for over 14 years.

Asset Allocation: Equity & Equity related instruments of companies engaged in financial services sector#: 80% to 100%; Equity and equity related instruments of companies other than above: 0% to 20%; Debt Securities & Money Market instruments (including Cash & cash equivalents, TREPS): 0% to 20%; The scheme also has provisions to invest upto 45% of the equity component of the AUM in equity derivatives #Financial Services Sector companies include:

  • Stock Broking & Allied Entities, Asset Management Company(s), Depositories, Credit Rating Agencies, Clearing Houses and Other Intermediaries
  • Financial Technology (Fintech), Exchanges and Data Platforms

  • Wealth Management Entities
  • Distributors of Financial Products
  • Insurance Companies – General & Life
  • Microfinance, Housing Finance and payment companies
  • Companies engaged in the Financial Services sector from Sector list provided by AMFI/SEBI in Industry Classification data or other financial services as identified by Fund Manager, etc.
This above list is only indicative, and the Scheme will explore to invest in new and emerging areas of Financial Services. The Scheme will invest in companies engaged in the Financial Services sector from Sector list provided by AMFI/SEBI / NSE. Liquidity: Units of the Scheme may be purchased or redeemed on all Business Days at NAV based prices subject to the prevailing load structure Exit Load:
  • If units redeemed or switched out are upto 10% (limit) of the units purchased or switched in within 3 months from the date of allotment – Nil
  • If units redeemed or switched out are over and above the limit within 3 months from the date of allotment – 1% of the applicable NAV
  • If units are redeemed/switched out after 3 months from the date of allotment – Nil
